Description

COMETIC MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gaskets offer optimal sealing for high-output engines without the need for sealants. These gaskets are especially suitable for joining aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as they can handle the shearing forces between these different materials. Made from multiple stainless steel layers, MLS gaskets are both resilient and resistant to corrosion. Their outer layers feature an embossment and are coated on both sides with Viton—a heat-resistant flouroelastomer rubber that can withstand temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). Viton is engineered to handle harsh sealing conditions, various load conditions, and different surface finishes. The central layer, made of uncoated stainless steel, can be adjusted to meet various thickness needs.
